Javanomics 101: Today's Coffee Is Tomorrow's Debt

I found this on Melanie's blog.

Kinda funny, it shows that if you made your own coffee and for 30 years refrained from buying a $3 latte, you could save $55,341 (with interest). (Brent would probably appreciate this.)

I do indeed appreciate that, and to that end I have owned my own espresso maker for over a year now, although I occasionally will purchase a cappucino if I'm already out.

I should also note that espresso beverages make one's life better by way more than $50k/year. Make less, enjoy it more.

I don't know what ass tastes like. But coffee is a highly refined and delicious beverage, particularly in its concentrated, espresso form.
